Kazi Fundi is operated by Karmali Investments Ltd ("we", "us"), a company based in Kampala, Uganda. You can reach us at hello@kazifundi.com. By using this website you agree to these terms.

The Kazi Fundi marketplace is not yet live. Today this website only lets you register interest as a customer or as a service provider ("fundi"). Registering does not create an account, a booking, a job, or any guarantee that you will be accepted onto the platform when it launches.

You agree that the details you submit are accurate, are your own or provided with the other person's permission, and that you are at least 18 years old. Do not submit anything unlawful, offensive, or belonging to someone else.

By joining the early access list you agree that we may contact you by phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email about Kazi Fundi's launch, verification and early access. You can ask us to stop at any time by emailing us.

When the marketplace opens, Kazi Fundi will be a platform that introduces customers to independent tradespeople. Fundis are not our employees or agents. The contract for any work is between the customer and the fundi. We verify identity and credentials to the standard described on our Trust & safety page, but verification is not a guarantee of workmanship, and we do not supervise the work itself.

Posting a job, receiving quotes and messaging are free. When a job is booked, the fundi’s price is paid by Mobile Money into Kazi Fundi and held until the customer confirms the work is finished. At that point the customer pays a flat service fee of UGX 10,000, and the fundi’s money is released to their Mobile Money, normally within two working days, less commission — 8% on the free plan, 5% on Fundi Plus and 3% on Fundi Pro. Fundis also pay a one-off verification fee of UGX 20,000, waived for the first 100 verified fundis. Materials a job needs, such as cement, cable or parts, are not part of the fundi’s fee and are agreed and settled separately between the customer and the fundi. Everything else must stay on the platform: taking the fundi’s fee off Kazi Fundi to avoid commission can cost an account its badge or its place on the platform. Any fee is shown clearly before you are charged.

Do not attempt to break into, disrupt, scrape or copy this website, and do not use it to send unsolicited marketing or to collect other people's contact details. We may remove anyone from the list or the platform for abuse, fraud or misrepresentation.

The Kazi Fundi name, logo, text, images and design belong to Karmali Investments Ltd. You may not reuse them without our written permission. Prices shown on this website are illustrative estimates, not offers.

This website is provided as is while we build the service. To the extent permitted by Ugandan law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or from delays to launch. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

We may update these terms as the service develops; the date at the top will change. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, and the courts of Uganda have jurisdiction over any dispute.
